Principal's Messages
Parents,
A quick, kind reminder to please use the carpool lane at the front of the school for drop-off and pick-up. For safety reasons, do not stop in the front or back parking lots—vehicles are moving in those areas and we want to keep all students safe. I know waiting in the carpool line can take a little longer, and I truly appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Thank you for your support,
Courtney Mancuso

Hurricane Family,
We had an amazing first day of school! Thank you for helping make it a great start to the year. While there were a few minor hiccups, our students showed up eager and ready to learn, and we’re excited for what’s ahead!
As we settle into our routine, here are a few important reminders to help ensure a smooth and successful school year:
Cell Phone Policy (State Law Reminder):
Please be aware that per Louisiana state law, students are not permitted to have cell phones out during instructional time. Phones should be turned off and stored away unless specifically approved by a teacher for instructional use.Act 313 of the 2024 Louisiana Regular Legislative Session restricts students from using cellphones on school property during the instructional day. We recognize the importance of safety and understand that many parents prefer their children to have a device for emergencies. Therefore, students are allowed to bring cellphones to school, but they must be stowed away and completely powered down (not just silenced) between the first and last bell of the school day.
** Please remember that if a student violates the cellphone policy there phone will be confiscated and held in the front office for pick-up by a guardian. When the guardian comes to collect the phone, the fee for collection is $10**
Pick up times for phones that are confiscated are 10AM-1PM daily
Dress Code:
We ask that students arrive dressed appropriately each day. Please review our dress code policy to ensure all attire aligns with school expectations. This includes avoiding clothing with holes, inappropriate messaging, and ensuring proper fit and coverage.
Carpool and Pick-Up Procedures:
For the safety of all students and staff, please follow the designated carpool line for both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.Do not use the back parking lot or the area near the football stadium to drop off or pick up your child. These areas are not supervised and pose safety concerns.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to make this an outstanding year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Warm regards,
Courtney Mancuso

Dear Prairieville High Family,
I hope this message finds you enjoying the final days of summer break and feeling recharged for the year ahead! As we prepare to welcome our Hurricanes back to campus, I want to take a moment to share how excited and grateful I am to begin this school year together.
At Prairieville High, we are committed to building a strong community by loving, supporting, and challenging every student to reach their full potential. This year, our focus is ownership—because success comes from the actions we take every day. Whether it's showing up prepared, helping a classmate, or leading by example, we want our students to know: Ownership is the actions you take every day.
We’re proud of our school’s core values—honesty, humble, and hard work—and we’ll continue to lean into these values as we grow together. Our teachers and staff are ready to welcome our students with open arms, high expectations, and unwavering support.
Let’s make 2025 a year of growth, pride, and Hurricane strength. I look forward to working alongside you to create a positive and meaningful experience for every student. Below is a table of information to help answer other questions you may have about the start of the school year.
See you soon,
Courtney Mancuso
